An air mat with the pump built into the foot end, so it inflates by standing on it rather than by blowing into it. The head end inflates into a pillow, and the whole thing packs down to roughly the size of a one-litre bottle.

What the manufacturer states

  • Inflated: 190 × 60 × 6 cm
  • Packed: 10 × 10 × 20 cm
  • Weight: about 600 g
  • Material: 40D nylon with a TPU coating
  • Included: mat, storage bag, repair patch

No R-value

The manufacturer does not state an R-value for this mat, so we do not print one. It is an air mat, not an insulated foam mat — it lifts you off cold, wet ground and takes the lumps out, but on frozen ground in winter you want a closed-cell or insulated mat underneath it. We would rather say that than invent a number.

Why a mat matters

Down compressed under your body loses almost all of its loft, so the underside of a sleeping bag insulates you barely at all. Without something between you and the ground, the ground takes the heat — whatever bag you bought.

No R-value

A number we did not test is a number we will not print.

The manufacturer does not state an R-value for this mat, so neither do we. It is an air mat, not an insulated foam mat: it lifts you off cold, wet ground and takes the lumps out.

On frozen ground in deep winter, put a closed-cell foam mat underneath it. We would rather tell you that than print a figure nobody measured.

Straight talk

It ships from our partners in Asia, and it is priced accordingly.

That is why the same specification costs less here than on the high street, and why it takes 7–14 working days instead of two. Tracked the whole way, taxes settled at checkout, nothing to pay at the door.
